The Kenmore market is one of the city’s most vibrant because in just 30 minutes drive from the Brisbane city centre, families can be sitting back and enjoying the spoils of country life at their rural retreat.

Simultaneously, buyers are also lured to the area’s prestigious suburbs including Fig Tree Pocket riverside, Chapel Hill, Pullenvale, Kenmore Hills, Brookfield and Upper Brookfield. Each of these areas offer something unique from prime riverfront land and houses, to town houses and units.

Property prices in the area start at around $250,000 for a modest three-bedroom home on around 700 square metres of land.

At the other end of the scale, the region is renowned for its vast array of architecturally designed homes from the latest in contemporary style plantation homes to Georgian mansions and high set colonials, which when sold, can fetch in excess of one million dollars.

Clients are generally a mix of people from various walks of life and professions who are attracted to the area for its diversity, which comprises an excellent transport infrastructure, and open space facilities offering a selection of recreational activities. In particular, the area is known for its excellent private and public schools, and is the home of the annual Brookfield Show, which showcases the skills of the areas growing rural community.

Over the past four years, the principal, Peter Newing has sponsored this event along with the inaugural Brookfield Muster for the local primary school.
