Your Guide To Sustainable Whitsunday Living
Team members from PRDnationwide Whitsunday attended the Annual National Conference and Principal’s Forum and Gala Awards held in Brisbane in March. While it was a chance to connect with other agents in the PRDnationwide network and gain or further enhance skills, one of the key takeaway from the event was the release of Your Green Guide – Residential Real Estate 2018.
PRDnationwide, through the Australia Research Council Linkage project funded by the Australian Federal Government, has released Your Green Guide – Residential Real Estate 2018.
A collaboration with Queensland University of Technology, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology Germany and other key industry partners, this research project concluded that sustainable housing outperforms its conventional competitors environmentally, socially and financially.
The project identified the top 7 benefits to having a property with sustainable features, which includes:
- Savings on utility bills and less maintenance;
- Reduced construction materials and emissions;
- Less days to sell listed property;
- Improved comfort and long-term lifestyle;
- Higher median price;
- Higher resale value; and
- Informed decision making.
Your Green Guide – Residential Real Estate 2018 is a comprehensive, yet short and easy to read, summary of the benefits of sustainable features in residential property.
