• • Sweeping king of the mountain views, and a rare broad mountain grass plain, with rear cliffs and stunning walks amongst massive ferns, huge blue gums, cascades and falls running most of the year make this arguably the best block on the mount. Power has recently been located onsite. A walk skirts the northern boundary along rock ledges, cliffs and tall ferns. The mossy fairy like walk along the creek has had extensive labour done to clear and set stone steps, It's slightly short of the road so either follow down the creek or step over the tree trunk at the drive junction to find it. The river thunders after rains. Wildlife abounds with platypus sightings and night cam devil spotting. The property backs on to forest and joins a hidden track over crown land to Fern Gully Falls which is only accessible via your land. Its southern and western boundary are fenced whilst bush provides a natural boundary else where. Neighbours source their water from springs or the permanent river and there are numerous potential natural spring locations here. The road last had gravel topping added 13 years ago being coarse now and whilst it readily 4wd-able, some work for 2wds is needed. It has a tiny shack with rudimentary facilities and a wood heater. All just 15 minutes to New Norfolk town with Mitre10, Woolworths, cafes and restaurants and as little as 45 minutes to Hobart.
