PRD Albury-Wodonga Proudly Supports the 2026 Sunshine Ride
At PRD Albury-Wodonga, supporting our community is at the heart of everything we do. This March, we were proud to be a major sponsor of the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre Sunshine Ride.
Held on the 13th and 14th of March, the Sunshine Ride is a local 24 hour stationary cycling fundraiser supporting the Sunshine Trust. The event brings together businesses, gyms and community groups who form teams and take turns riding from 6pm Friday through to 6pm Saturday, raising vital funds and awareness for cancer care in our region.
Since its beginning in 2021 at Adrenaline Boxing and Conditioning, the Sunshine Ride has grown into a meaningful community initiative led by a dedicated volunteer committee.
Supporting an Important Cause
In 2026, the Sunshine Ride raised over $160,000 for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre.
Thanks to the generosity of our clients, local businesses, friends and family, the PRD Albury-Wodonga team raised $2,763.
In addition, through our Caring for Our Community initiative, we will contribute a further $5,250 for the first quarter of 2026. We are proud to support causes that make a real difference locally.
A Team Effort
Our team showed incredible commitment across the 24 hours, riding more than 500 kilometres. From early starts to late night sessions, it was inspiring to see everyone come together in support of the cause.
Thank you to everyone who donated, supported and took part. We are proud to stand alongside our community in supporting such an important cause.
Sunshine Ride Gala Event
This year also saw the introduction of the Sunshine Ride Gala Event, held on 7th March. Shelbie and Hayley had the pleasure of attending an evening that was both entertaining and moving, with guest speaker Doug Hawkins.
