Last week I posted the final correspondence to our solicitor and I have had time to reflect on all of the aspects of the sale of the family home. In doing so I realise the huge debt of gratitude that my family owes to you.
You will recall that the solicitor called for 3 appraisals from 3 different agents, and this led to a meeting with you in your office. I became aware of your complete knowledge of real estate and our local area. You explained the current market situation, selling strategies and suggested the best time to sell, and helped me to understand the procedure that would need to be followed to ensure a successful outcome. I left your office knowing that I had made a wise decision.
Of particular assistance to me was the time table that you set to ensure that the several waypoints were met in timely fashion. I refer to having the yards and gardens and the key rooms ready for the photographer and your marketing team, and then being prepared for the open days and then the auction. As you know this was a difficult and lengthy project and without your advice and assistance our program would have slowed.
I also valued the people you sent to progress the sale, your photographer did an excellent job as did the people to managed the advertising. Also your yardman who mowed lawns and removed loads of pruning’s and other green waste, and the painter who did such a good job and completed the work on schedule and on budget even though he was asked to do the laundry and garage additional to the original commission.
I was pleased with your timely responses to the solicitor’s requests, and also during heat wave conditions you drove me to the bank and on another occasion to the solicitor’s office. Thank you again for those unexpected services.
I must also mention your auctioneer and his team who were everything that you said that they would be.
I make it a rule never to make recommendations to other people, however your expert and generous assistance makes this an exception. If you have people in your office who are undecided as to which agent they should choose, then feel free to show them this letter of thanks, and if you wish you can ring me and I will confirm to them the fact that no agent could have worked harder for his clients than you, and that no agent could have been more helpful.
I would like to thank you for the professional manner that I experienced throughout the process of the sale of my mother’s villa at Chuter Avenue, Ramsgate Beach.
