Today I am down in the thriving school holiday hub of Airlie Beach. We had a public holiday here yesterday and of course we also have a long weekend, next weekend as well, all coinciding with the school holidays and some cruise ships in town also during the week has made it absolutely hectic here in town. It's wonderful to see everything so busy and so many families enjoying what the Whitsundays has to offer in these school holidays.

Wednesday night we had our first ever Annual Research Night at the Reef Gateway Hotel in Cannonvale. We had our Chief Economist Dr Asti here and it was a really wonderful, quite successful night with a lot of really interesting and factual information about the market. What's going to be happening, what are prices doing, how is our market fairing and all in all it was wonderful to hear feedback from people who attended that said Thank you so much for cutting through what the media has been saying and giving us facts and also making people feel that maybe it's not all doom and gloom out there. A couple of highlights from me, that we are seeing wonderful rental yields here in the Whitsundays, so we almost double the rental yields that you would be getting down in Brisbane and other areas in South East Queensland. So houses are yielding around 5% and units are up to 8% rental yield. So far higher then Brisbane Metro, so what an amazing place to invest in. Why wouldn't you with what the Whitsunday's has to offer over my shoulders behind me. The R in PRD stands for Research and we delivered this week.
