PRD Tweed Coast Enters New Era Under New Principal Brent Osborne
PRD Tweed Coast, one of the network’s most established offices, has entered an exciting new chapter with the appointment of Brent Osborne as Principal. A seasoned business owner with a passion for growth and leadership, Brent brings fresh energy and vision to the Tweed Coast team.
Originally owning a highly successful real estate office in Bathurst, Brent made the move north in search of a new challenge and lifestyle. Reflecting on the transition, Brent shared:
“There’s no motivator quite like stepping into a new market with a bold vision. I’ve always been driven by growth; personally, professionally, and for the people around me. PRD Tweed Coast offered the perfect blend of established success and future potential. It’s a privilege to lead this team and continue building something remarkable.”
The previous owners of PRD Tweed Coast, Joe Taylor and Jason Abbott, will continue to lead the thriving PRD Coolangatta office. Joe will also remain active at PRD Tweed Coast, refocusing on sales. He says Brent was a natural fit from the first meeting:
“We had two non-negotiables when considering the sale: the team had to stay, and the office had to remain a PRD franchise. Brent was looking for a well-established business with great people and a solid brand behind it, so it made good sense for all of us. After our first meeting, it was clear Brent was the right person.”
Established in 2003, PRD Tweed Coast has been a cornerstone of the PRD network for over 20 years. It was the second office opened by Joe Taylor, Jason Abbott, and their former partner, following the success of PRD Coolangatta.
“We wanted to expand our PRD presence on the Tweed Coast,” said Joe.
“We were already seeing strong interest from sellers, but the lack of a local office was holding us back. Opening in Kingscliff allowed us to meet that demand and grow our footprint.”

While the market has evolved, Joe says the most memorable part of the journey has been the people:
“We’ve had clients we started working with in 2003 who we’ve helped buy, sell, and manage properties for over two decades. That kind of loyalty speaks volumes. We’re grateful for the community’s support and confident they’ll see the same level of care in Brent’s capable hands.”
Brent has been energised by the support he’s received since joining PRD and spoke proudly of the network’s culture:
“After my first meeting with Joe, it was clear PRD was something special. He spoke about the strength of the group, the collaborative culture, and the incredible presence PRD has built on the Tweed Coast over the past two decades. That first impression has held true; it’s been a fantastic experience so far, and I’m genuinely proud to be part of the PRD network.”

With a reputation for innovation, collaboration, and agent-first leadership, PRD continues to attract high-performing professionals seeking more than just a brand, they’re looking for a community. The Tweed Coast transition is a testament to PRD’s ability to evolve while staying true to its values.
Joe agrees that the PRD network has played an integral role in the smooth transition:
“Real estate is a roller coaster. we all experience the highs, lows, and everything in between. What makes PRD different is the willingness of its leaders to support each other. Whether it’s advice, collaboration, or just a laugh, the culture here is real. The more we share, the stronger we become.”
Todd Hadley, Managing Director of PRD, welcomed Brent to the network:
“It’s a pleasure to welcome Brent Osborne as the new Principal of PRD Tweed Coast and to congratulate Joe and Jason on the successful sale. Brent joins an exceptionally talented group of leaders who I know will embrace him with the same supportive spirit PRD is known for. We look forward to the next chapter of PRD Tweed Coast.”
When asked what advice he’d give to someone considering joining PRD, Brent shared:
“In my experience, what Principals are really seeking is a community of like-minded professionals who challenge and support each other to grow. That’s where PRD stands out. It offers the backing of a national brand while fostering an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and personal leadership. You’re empowered to run your business your way, while being part of something bigger.”
Joe adds:
“PRD has always recognised the importance of great teams and culture. Knowledge is shared, challenges are solved together, and there’s always room for a bit of fun. That spirit has remained a core part of the brand for nearly 50 years.”
