A future service station with a drive-through takeaway attached is in its development application stage.
According to the Whitsunday Times, the Whitsunday Regional Council
have received an application from Brisbane Prestige Property Developments to construct the project at 47 Leichardt St, Bowen.
If the plan is approved, an empty commercial building on the site that corners Livingstone St would need to be obliterated.
The following are what we would expect and more into the development project:
220sq m service station adjoining is a 170sq m food and drink outlet with a drive-through attached that will operate 24/7.
“(It) will service the local convenience needs of residents and surrounding tourism or primary production industries and offers locally-based employment opportunities,” according to the documents gathered by the Whitsunday Times.
